New Sandy Bridge Celerons and Pentiums available in Europe this week

Intel has officially started shipping its newest Sandy Bridge based Celerons and Pentiums and the pricing is quite competitive. The flagship model the G540 has two cores clocked at 2.5GHz with 2MB of L3 cache and is priced at just €44.90 which is a reasonably decent price. The G530 is identical except at 2.4GHz and this costs just €36 which is a nice saving considering you only lose 0.1GHz on the two cores. Intel has also made an ULV 35W version of the G530 which runs at 2GHz and this costs €40.

The last of the Celerons is a G440 which is a single core at just 1.6GHz costing €32 with a TDP of 35W but for an extra €4 you might as well go for the G540. Then we have the Pentiums for €71 you can get the dual core 3GHz 65W processor with 3MB of L3 cache. The G630 will cost €65 and this is the same as the G540 but at 2.7GHz. The G630T runs at 35W so is more power consumption friendly and this version is downclocked to 2.3GHz at a price of €60.
