USB Powered 14" Toshiba Screen
Shown at Computex 2011 there was a 14" Toshiba monitor which supports a resolution of 1366 by 768 and this monitor runs off of a single USB 2.0 connection to a laptop or desktop computer. The technology used is a displaylink chip which is embedded into the screen PCB. This chip controls data and power flow. Data is sent encoded or decoded where necessary using a dynamic compression algorithm which minimises the power consumption of the device.
