AMD's 12.1a preview driver has been introduced to help fix issues surrounding the game 'Rage'. The improvements should give owners of HD 5000 and 6000 series cards enough extra performance and compatibility to make a significant different to gameplay.
- Resolves some new texture corruption issues introduced by the latest version of the game
- Improved performance ~5%
- Smoother game play and reduces multicore sync points
- Fixed mapbuffer failures when switching maps on 32-bit systems.
- Fixed a game crash when switching maps back and forth on 32 and 64-bit systems
AMD have also updated the CAP2 profiles to version 11.12 which gives the following results:
- Modified Battlefield3 Profile
- Modified Saints Row 3 Profile
- Added Prototype 2 Profile
- Added Project C.A.R.S Profile
- Added Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Profile
- Added Might and Magic Heroes VI Profile
AMD did not specify any performance increases with the new CAP2 profiles for the modified profiles.
