Sources in Russia have come across information about the upcoming Ivy Bridge platform which essentially reveals the full roadmap with all the models from the i5 and i7 range. Ivy Bridge is overwhelmingly a quad core series with only one dual core processor which is the energy efficient 35W i5 3470T. There is also another energy efficient model with 4 cores and a TDP of 45W the i5 3570T. Apart from the i5 3470T all i5 models will not have hyperthreading and will all have 6MB of L3 cache. Clock speeds in the i5 series will range from 2.3GHz to 3.4GHz stock and from 3.3GHz to 3.8GHz turbo. Like Sandy Bridge there will be only one unlocked processor in this case the 2500K replacement is the i5-3570K.
The i7 series we can see is much smaller consisting of only four models. The 2600K replacement comes in the form of the i7 3770K which is a quad core hyper threaded processor running at 3.5GHz stock but with an unlocked multiplier signaled by the K. There are also more energy efficient S and T models in the i7 series like in the i5 series. Interestingly the fastest Ivy Bridge processor has a TDP of just 77W and runs just shy of 4GHz on turbo mode.
