Intel set the official Sandy Bridge-E launch date for November the 14th of this year meaning the launch is still 17 days away. However, all of the upcoming processors have been listed on the Chinese website TaoBao thus revealing the pricing. It has three models listed and a bundle deal which includes the Sandy Bridge-E processors:
- Intel Core i7 3960X / $1200 / £750
- Intel Core i7 3930K / $900 / £560
- Intel Core i7 3820 / $550 / £350
- MSI X79A-GD65 8D / $470 / £300
- i7 3930K + MSI X79-GD65 8D + Corsair H60 / $1200 / £750
So as you can see the prices certainly aren't cheap but are very much what most people would be expecting since the LGA 2011 X79 platform is one aimed at performance not value for money. Although £750 for the listed bundle certainly seems reasonably priced given a top 2600K bundle would still cost around £400.
