Alpenfohn shows of Himalaya CPU cooler

Alpenfohn have been showing off their latest in processor cooling apparatus. The Himalaya is made entirely of nickel plated copper and aluminium, six u-shape heat pipes spring from the copper nickel plated base and carry heat up to the large dense tower like aluminium fin structure where the 140mm PWM controlled fan shifts the heat away. The fan is rated for 300-1100RPM with noise levels of 10 to 19.4DBa. The fins are arranged in inverted sets of five which apparently works to improve the thermal performance of the cooler. The cooler is compatible with all modern CPU socket types available in the market, including Intel LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA1366, and LGA775; and AMD FM1, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, and AM2. The Alpenfohn Himalaya measures in at 40 x 164 x 55 mm and weighs a hefty 880g. Alpenfohn will be recommending this product retails at €59.90.
