Quad core Windows 8 Tablets/Slates will apparently have a battery life of 8 hours which is fairly impressive. They should also have 10" screens in full HD no less supporting 1080p playback. The first wave of Tablet PCs will apparently run Windows 7 but the second wave should be Windows 8 equipped. The first wave will support Windows 8 or be Windows 8 ready but obviously the operating system won't be out until a while after the first wave is released so they won't be sold with Windows 8. It is not yet known who will produce the quad core chip but candidates include Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm or ST-Ericsson all whom have said they will have quad cores ready by the end of the year.
