Since 2009 Chrome has gained 18.2% in the browser market in the UK whilst Internet Explorer has lost around 15% and FireFox stayed pretty much the same. Both FireFox and Chrome are continuing to take away market share from Internet Explorer as well as each other. The CEO of StatCounter Aodhan Cullen had this to say about the figures released:
"Chrome continues to make significant gains in the browser market going from under 4 percent two years ago to over 20 percent today, despite falling market share Internet Explorer still leads in the browser war but the next few months will be interesting to watch with Chrome and Firefox almost neck and neck."
